Occasionally you receive confirmation that the circuit is "in", yet upon arrival your install team discovers the SmartJack or network interface unit is in the wrong place. When you schedule Contingent’s Field Services team to install an edge device, the technician will be prepared to extend that misplaced demarcation up to 300 feet during the same visit. In the event the distance exceeds 300 feet, Contingent can reschedule a second visit to install digital line extenders and special high performance cable to enable connectivity to the end customer’s designated area as necessary.

Contingent’s Field Services team is cross-trained in the configuration and installation of dozens of different edge devices needed to complete the link to the carrier’s network. Contingent can depot, stage, configure and drop-ship these devices with little or no notice anywhere in North America and have them met by one of our certified field technicians. An installation can be scheduled with as little as 48 hours notice and be expedited through Contingent’s NetMedX program in as little as two hours depending on location and shipping constraints.

Contingent’s Field Services team is cross-trained to provide BICSI certified structured cabling solutions as needed. When a Contingent field technician arrives on site and discovers a situation that requires a “cable drop" to complete a proper edge device installation, they are fully prepared to install the necessary components to get the job done during the same visit. Your end customer may also have cabling-only needs that they turn to the you to fulfill. When this occurs, Contingent stands ready to deploy a technician for a single cable installation up to thousands at a site or as few as one simultaneously over multiple sites.

Contingent’s Technical Assistance Center is staffed with a team of engineers that are skilled in a variety of network technologies. These engineers or "Technical Support Specialists" routinely configure carrier edge networking devices both remotely and locally in Contingent's Configuration Center. In the case of local configurations, these devices are stored for order, configured and shipped to the end customer site all in the same day.

Contingent installs and services a variety of telephone PBX and KSU devices across North America. Installation and support of the full lines of Avaya, Cisco VoIP and Nortel telephone systems is a main source of revenue for Contingent and is a competency rarely found in an organization with North American coverage. In addition we provide user and system admin training to Clients who operate Avaya, Cisco VoIP or Nortel systems. Although not as extensive as our Avaya, Cisco VoIP and Nortel practices, we have experience in Toshiba, Panasonic, Mitel, discontinued Fujitsu systems and Vertical Networks systems and can quickly customize an installation or support program to meet your precise needs. We can procure full systems, major components as well as replacement parts, stage and configure in our Logistics Center and even depot replacement parts for same day on-site repairs.
